It's hard to imagine a positive future at the moment. The dominance of right wing media narratives, and reactionary online 'troll' communities obscures the benefits of a growing disillusionment with capitalist 'democracy'. Whereas Spain and other European countries have seen the growth of strong left alternatives, English speaking media have co-opted despair in a nasty, jealous way, rather than creating social movements to challenge the status quo. I would like to see this change, and am willing to listen as to how best to do this, but creating a viable alternative to the 'story machine' of the right wing press seems the first priority...
This Blog is here to posit a way forward for the communal life of humanity on a macro level. I hope to use current dissatisfaction with governments {in general and in particular) as a springboard for discussion on the current system for collective decision-making. It is also almost certain that I will sketch some unusual, and contrasting, alternatives.
